Tanzania: St. Camillus Nyamagwe Center

Local Partner: St Camillus Nyamagwe Center

Recipients: 30 single mothers are expected to benefit from this program.

Harambee’s contribution:  €10,000

At St. Camillus Nyamagwe Center in Tanzania, 30 single mothers will gain valuable sewing and tailoring skills to build independent businesses and provide for their families. By equipping these women with the resources and support they need, this initiative will foster self-sufficiency, improve family stability, and create better educational opportunities for their children.

As they develop small tailoring businesses, they will gain financial independence, increase their self-esteem, and contribute to the local economy. This ripple effect extends beyond the individual participants, helping to build a stronger future for their entire community.

Activity: Through this program, participants will receive training workshops in sewing techniques, business management, and marketing, access to sewing machines and tools upon completing their training, and mentorship from experienced tailors and business owners to guide their success.
