Swatini: Bee-Keeping Project

Local Partner: MAIS AFRICA

Recipients: 20 young adults (17+) will be enrolled in the training program, while family members of about 100 will benefit.

Harambee’s contribution:  €10,000

This project offers hands-on training in beekeeping and apiary management, equipping 20 young adults with the skills needed to start their own businesses. Through educational programs and community expansion efforts, over 100 family members will gain financial stability, and the larger Mahamba community of 20,000 people will benefit from increased trade and food security. By fostering local expertise and independence, this initiative promotes long-term economic resilience.

Activity: Enhance nutritional intake, generating economic value, safeguarding and protecting the environment, and also improving the yield of crops through the presence of bee colonies and their pollination work.
