D.R. Congo: “Forfait Mama” Maternity and Neo-Natal Care

DescriptionIn a country where mothers are routinely subject to Monkole Hospital, based in Kinshasa, offers hope by providing mothers with life-saving care “Forfait Mama” packages that cover pregnancy through birth. Each package includes ultrasounds, lab tests, medicines, delivery (including C-section), preventive anti-malaria treatment and check-ups for both mother and newborn. Maternity patients are charged only 5 euros, with the rest of the cost subsidized by the hospital.
